BPA Live has expanded rapidly in the last year.

Netty Turner joined the agency in January 2010 as a booking agent for the British band Society and the American bands P-A-U-L and The Orbitsuns. Netty had worked with Bob Paterson for five years through her management work with Deadstring Brothers, Redlands Palomino Company and, latterly, Eileen Rose. London-based Netty brings this unique wealth of experience to the agency.

Dave Moss-Blundell joined the agency in April 2010. Dave Moss-Blundell is a former national journalist, PR agent and music promoter and is based in Yorkshire. His specialist genres are folk, indie, pop and rock and all of their various derivatives.

BPA Live's fast-expanding roster includes Tom Russell, The Wailin' Jennys, Sam Baker, Ian McLagan & the Bump Band, Eve Selis, Jason Ringenberg, Elizabeth Cook, Deadstring Brothers, Blue Rodeo, Crooked Still, The Redlands Palomino Company and La Fleur Fatale.

Meanwhile, Bob's internet radio show "The Bob Paterson Show" is online at Americana UK. Shows are now weekly as he has developed a new (faster) way of putting the shows online. Follow the links to "radio show" at the top of each page on the website to listen to it.

"What can be said about BPA and the lovely Bob Paterson? An absolute pleasure to work with for one thing - thorough, efficient, pleasant and genuine - he offers what very few agents offer - a human touch! Over the years a great rapport has been built up between Bob and the festival and on top of offering and booking some unforgettably fine artists from him, you have the knowledge and trust that he will not let you down - he has certainly made our work a lot simpler! He treats his artists with a great deal of respect, care and attention and they are delivered to us as informed as organised as they possibly can be! A friendly agent in this business is hard to come by, which is why Bob and his company are so very special, I look forward to many more years of happy collaboration with him!"

"Having been a live performer for almost 30 years, I can unequivocally give Bob Paterson/BPA Live my highest recommendation. In fact he is one of the finest agents I have ever worked with. His attention to detail, belief in his artists, dogged determination to get the job done, and incredible work ethic is unsurpassed in this crazy business. As an artist who is self managed, I profoundly appreciate that Bob goes the extra mile to stay on top of his tours, and make them run as smoothly and profitably as possible for his artists, the buyers, and all concerned. On top of all this, he has a great sense of humor, and enjoys what he does! (…most of the time anyway..) It’s truly a pleasure working with him."

Jason Ringenberg

"When I decided to become a professional musician some well-meaning contemporary warned me that the music business was the alternative profession for people who didn’t have the scruples to make it in the carnival business. Armed with that information I began to navigate my way through the woods of labels, publishers, nightclubs and a panoply of agents, publicists, songwriters, musicians et al who had joined the ranks of those brave and strong enough to declare themselves part of the circus. I had the good fortune to land in the schools of some amazing heroes and legends, who above all taught me that integrity and pure love for the music lie at the heart of success, whatever one might imagine that to be. I am so fortunate to have found Bob and it is fantastic to work with him. People take his calls because he acts like a grown up while still possessing the sheer innocent belief and passion for artists and their music that gets us all into this wonderful and crazy business from the start. He is one of those people rarely found who without smoke or mirrors can magically balance a great work ethic but still be fun."

"I came to know Netty when I joined the Group 'Deadstring Brothers' in 2006. Not only did she play a huge part in developing the group in the UK as their manager, she has also helped me throughout my career with industry advice, visa help and most importantly, being a good friend to talk too. Which, in an industry full of diva's (men and women) and all sorts of shady characters, Netty is a breath of fresh air.

Her professionalism recently in booking shows for the 'Deadstring Brothers' has been outstanding, with regular updates and e-mails that keep the whole band in the picture with each step of the booking progress. She is easily approachable, hard working and honest, but most importantly she is passionate about working in this industry........which nowadays is an extreme rarity

"Bob Paterson has helped me come a long way in the UK and Ireland and I consider him an utterly professional and dedicated agent. He understands the music."

Tom Russell

"BPA has been wonderful for us as a touring band. The level of care and attention to detail, the support, efficiency and encouragement coupled with an unbridled enthusiasm for the music has been essential in getting us out there and playing to people and enjoying the experience because they make sure everything runs smoothly leaving us to get on with the music. As a touring musician you just want to be pointed in the right direction knowing that you can concentrate on your gig happy in the knowledge that all the rest of the logistics are taken care of and with Bob and Netty at BPA we can go out and do our shows knowing full well this is the case. I've had some invaluable advice and help along with some great experiences thanks to the agency and feel very safe in their hands, it's also great to be on the roster with so many superb artists."

Society

" While I deal with many corporate agencies for our work, I consider BPA the best overall, in what they do. We have a grass roots approach to our music promotions and as a charity expect all the agencies to be "on the ball" with what needs are required. I can honestly say that Bob Paterson has always came up trumps with his superb roster of acts, marketing & whatever else we have requested for our shows. He's a true lover of the music he offers too, which isn't always the case, and we 100% recommend his agency to anyone in the music business"
