Netty Turner joined BPA Live in April 2010.
After having worked for several years in an artist management capacity liaising on a daily basis with professionals within the music industry Netty Turner decided to take the skills and contacts she had gained into working as a booking agent at BPA Live. Netty and Bob Paterson had developed a strong working relationship and friendship whilst liaising on the acts she previously managed. So without hesitation Netty accepted Bob's offer of working with him at the excellent BPA Live agency.
Netty had in the past managed an impressive roster of artists such as Eileen Rose, Redlands Palomino Company and The Deadstring Brothers. It became more obvious that the terrain of the 'Music Business' as a whole was changing that Netty needed to look at where and how the needs of the artist, and indeed her own, would be best met. Becoming a booking agent seemed the natural choice in today's current climate of change.
After eighteen months as an agent for BPA Live Netty has developed a strong roster of artists including from the UK; Society, Paddy Milner and young blues guitar sensation, Ben Poole. From the USA Netty handles Deadstring Brothers, The Orbitsuns and Dead Rock West. Netty was also instrumental in programming the Bourbon Street Jazz N’ Blues venue at Glastonbury in 2011, adding yet another string to her bow. Netty was also one of the stage managers at the venue.
Netty shares the strong belief along with Bob Paterson that they should not only work with hard working acts that fit within the BPA Live profile but also keeping an open mind when considering a new artist to be added to their ever growing roster. Netty and Bob both believe in working closely with PR agencies to help better promote the artists they represent.
BPA Live is one of the fastest and most successful booking agencies in the UK and Netty has a strong feeling, she won't be looking back.
