In 2007 Bob and Steve Fernie (from East Central One) formed a live music promotions company called Movers & Shakers with the sole aim of bringing high quality music to initially Suffolk, but in time further afield. Since September 2007, they've promoted Jacqui McShee's Pentangle, Ralph McTell, Martin Carthy with Dave Swarbrick, John Renbourn with Robin Williamson, Martin Simpson, Chris Difford (from Squeeze) and Keep It Cash at The Fisher Theatre in Bungay (Suffolk). They have also promoted Ian Hunter, Show of Hands, Dr Feelgood, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, The Hamsters and Ralph McTell in Ipswich; Oysterband acoustic and Ralph McTell in Bury St Edmunds and the cricket commentator (and bon viveur) "My Dear Old Thing" Henry Blofeld in Norwich. The autumn programme of events can be seen here.
Throughout May 2009 Movers & Shakers ran a series of classical music concerts in various Suffolk churches with a band they created and sourced called "Classifications". They hope to re-run the series in 2010.
